An extensive $4 million renovation project to update the Chapel at Children’s Harbor while also incorporating the building’s original architecture has officially been completed. The venue, located on scenic Lake Martin, now features an additional 88 seats and a new bridal suite.
The project was made possible through multiple generous donations from the co-founders of Children’s Harbor, Ben and Luanne Russell.
“Preserving the legacy of the Children’s Chapel was a heartfelt decision, ensuring that it remains a beacon of hope and faith for generations to come,” said Luanne. “This renovation honors our commitment to serving families in need while also strengthening our ties to the Lake Martin community.”
“We are excited to see the Chapel continue its mission of offering refuge and renewal to all who step inside.”
Following the renovation, The Children’s Chapel has been dedicated and renamed the Radney Family Children’s Chapel in memory of Annie Laurie and Billy Radney.
