Lake Martin Machine Gun located in Eclectic, Alabama offers visitors the unique chance to not only admire historical firearms but also to shoot them in a controlled and safe setting.

According to its owner David McGirt, the 90-acre private shooting range is one of only a handful in the entire country that allows visitors to experience history through holding and firing weapons from various World conflicts.

“Bringing the stories and history of each firearm is an important part of the overall experience, which allows the visitors to connect with the past and many times family that have carried one or more of them in their past,” said McGirt. “Secondly, we created a safe area for the community to have to learn and train to properly and safely operate their firearms.”

Lake Martin Machine Gun is expanding across the board.

” The shooting range continues to grow as more and more people have found a safe and friendly environment for them to practice their pistol and rifle skills or just simple sight in their deer rifle for the season all the way to 300 yards.  The Machine Gun experience continues to be a favorite gift for birthdays, anniversaries, and wedding parties.  Lately, more and more corporate events are using the facility for amazing team building events that both men and women enjoy.”

McGirt revealed what he most enjoys about owning and operating Lake Martin Machine Gun.
